My therapeutic style is collaborative and based on respect and empathy. My approach to treatment is eclectic, as I draw from several theories and approaches in the practice of psychology. I utilize treatment strategies from Cognitive Behavioral, ACT/DBT, Gestalt, and Psychodynamic theories in psychology. I tailor each client’s treatment to their individual needs, what their goals are for therapy, and what I believe will be most helpful to them. My interpersonal style is compassionate, warm, and direct. My work with clients is tailored to the specific needs of each person. My work is rooted in evidence-based strategies and supported by psychological research and years of professional and personal experience. My goal as a clinician is to help people learn how to be self-reliant and acquire the life skills and insight that will enable them to reach their personal goals. I help people understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors shape how they see themselves and engage in the world around them so that they can confidently navigate their lives. I’m sensitive to and respectful of people from various cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds. I support an individual’s choice of how they identify, who they identify with, and whom they love. I am passionate about helping people, and I hope that our work together will bring about the change you hope to see in yourself, your relationships, and your life circumstances.
