I'm the founder and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) at Positive Regard Therapy. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling which I completed after a successful 17 year career in corporate marketing. I believe that by creating a collaborative and safe therapeutic relationship, I can be a strong and empathic partner to my clients as they explore the challenges they face and find new ways to initiate growth and change. My clinical interests include: LGBTQ affirmative therapy (with a particular focus around issues affecting gay, bi or queer men), anxiety, depression, gender and sexual identity development and concerns around sex, relationships and intimacy. I'm sex positive and attuned to the needs of poly, non-monogamous, kink and BDSM clients. I work from a client-centered theoretical approach and integrate solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness practices into my work. I honor all the unique and diverse identities clients bring to my practice. I strongly believe that only when someone feels comfortable in their own identities will they feel empowered to achieve their fullest potential.
