I spent years in my own therapy to process what that might be. From my relationships, to my depression and my purpose, I have always had something to talk about in therapy. I grew to understand what I needed in life, authentic relationships, mind-body connection and movement, and the ability to be vulnerable. Therapy provided me that space, those moments of self discovery, of painful reflections, of an honest, compassionate, and transformative relationship with my therapist that has brought me here. You wouldn’t be reading this without them. I’m still doing that work in my therapy today. Being a client has given me more tools than anything else as a therapist. I know what it’s like as a client, the vulnerability, the drive for answers, and the power of being seen. I use all of these experiences when I’m the therapist in the room. It’s not something I take lightly. The relationship between the therapist and the client is the most important catalyst for change and healing. What an honor it is to build safe, secure, fun, and authentic relationships as my job. As I’ve grown as a therapist, I’ve found that I enjoy working with identity issues, relationships, and trauma. These can show up as depression, anxiety, or as a persistent sense of unease. I utilize Internal Family Therapy (IFS), Attachment Theory, Existential theory, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to find the best fit for you. I work to create a safe environment where we can collaborate on creating a path of healing and discovering together. Through compassion, curiosity, and connectedness, we form a secure relationship to explore every facet of life without judgment. I work with couples, adults, and adolescents of all genders, races, classes, and sexualities. I recognize the importance of creating a safe space to be seen, heard, understood, and accepted can be healing in and of itself. I am also passionate about getting more men into counseling. I understand the challenge of asking for help and shaking off masculine narratives to get into therapy because I’ve battled them myself. It would be an honor and a privilege to get more men into the therapy room. I pay attention to the mind, body, and spirit and how they connect to one another in the systems we live in. I believe that healing is a holistic journey that requires active effort to achieve growth and change. It’s not easy, but it is one of the most important decisions we can make in our lives, a decision that must be made every day. Together, I will help you become less judgmental of yourself and others, rewrite narratives that weigh you down, and help you discover the most authentic version of yourself to live the life you deserve.
