Hello, my name is Becca Leitman, and I am an Adoption, Trauma, and Grief and Loss specialist, offering individualized couples and family counseling services. It takes courage and energy to seek support and I look forward to meeting you on your path. I am honored to provide support and guidance for individuals seeking change in all contexts of their life, including navigating life transitions, exploring grief and loss, addressing mood concerns, and gaining a deeper connection to oneself, others, and their environment. I've practiced therapy and social work for over 15 years, and have specialized training and extensive experience in supporting clients experiencing mood disorders, pregnancy loss, and parenting and family and relational adjustments. My treatment approach is centered in a relational and strengths based frameworks and I support clients with compassion and flexibility. As an adoptee, I draw upon my personal experiences, and understand complex family systems. This has informed my work with grief and loss, as well as children of divorce and the search for identity. As a brain cancer survivor, I am well versed in the challenges of undergoing cancer treatment and understand the importance of finding a strong support system during this difficult time. Additionally, I have personal experience with losing a loved one to suicide and the impact that suicide has on our lives. My hope is for each client to find a therapeutic fit that is both accessible and compatible, and to feel supported and empowered as they work toward their goals.
