Background and Education: Hi, I’m Barbara Lazarony, and you can call me Blaze. After a successful 20-year career in retail, I achieved what the world says is the peak of success. I went from humble beginnings on an Ohio farm to managing $2.5B in sales in 42 stores across the United States, all from my swanky office atop Market Street in San Francisco. Life back then felt complete! But beneath the gloss of this glittering lifestyle was a ticking time bomb, and that came to fruition when I received the devastating news that I had thyroid cancer in 2003. That's when it became clear what was truly important, so with newfound perspective and clarity, I resigned from my job and decided to discover who I was beyond my job title. Unfortunately, more health issues were ahead; post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety & obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) became unwelcome companions on my challenging but ultimately rewarding journey. I was guided by modern medicine, holistic treatments, and two invaluable guides: a therapist & coach. CANCER WAS THE SPARK I NEEDED TO IGNITE THE FIRE THAT CHANGED MY LIFE. –BLAZE LAZARONY It all started with that spark—that became an undeniable fire that drove me forward. I became an Advanced Certified Integral Coach and started my own business. After eighteen years of coaching and helping others, I felt something was still missing. So, at fifty-three, I embarked on a new journey—grad school in counseling psychology. Fast-forward to earning my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, my enhanced skill set has allowed me to help people in a way that aligns with my skills as a therapist/counselor and coach. It would be my honor to work with you.
