I work with women in the health field, women dealing with fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. I have also helped women trying to cope with everyday life and the stressors/labels that are attached. My approach to your treatment is to utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you let go of patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you and replace them with healthier ways of thinking. I also specialize in the treatment of trauma utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and experiential therapy. Trauma can leave deep scars on our minds and in our bodies which impacts our daily lives and well-being. EMDR has been proven to be highly effective in addressing trauma and enabling healing. Experiential therapy creates more in-depth emotional processing and helps release negative emotions and promote healing. What I love about working with women is the camaraderie and understanding we naturally have for one another. Whether you are a mom, trying to become a mom, pregnant, working and focused on career, and/or trying to “do it all” I am here to help navigate the challenges that come with these roles. I use a strength-based approach that is solution focused and compassionate. I know that life presents many challenges and is not easy, my own personal experiences have helped me to understand the importance of incorporating a kind, gentle approach in my work as a psychotherapist.
