A`Via (she/her) joins GE Family Services as a dedicated Master of Science Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern from Grand Canyon University, specializing in working with adolescents, teens, and young adults navigating the challenges of anxiety and depression. With a deep commitment to helping individuals overcome obstacles when life is “life-ing,” A`Via believes in the power of personal strengths as the cornerstone for conquering these challenges. Passionate about the process of healing, A`Via is devoted to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, build resilience, and discover their own paths to well-being. I have experience working with a diverse population of clients especially clients that are people of color. I am from thee Great State of Texas, Dallas to be exact. I graduated from West Anchorage High School in 2010. I have lived in Florida and Texas before moving back to Alaska. I earned my Associate of Applied Science in Allied Health from Charter College (2017) and my Bachelor of Arts in Complementary and Alternative Health from Ashford University (2020). I have spent over ten years working in the medical field in various settings and specialties, with five years working in pediatrics. I am a former cheerleader, dancer, and high school cheerleading coach. Dance is one of my passions; someday, I want to incorporate dance into therapy.
