Introduction

Hi I'm Avery! I am a queer and trans pre-licensed clinician serving Vermont and receiving supervision from Caroline O'Connor, LCMHC, PATP. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Education in May 2024 from Cleveland State University and completed a year internship at Case Western Reserve University. I primarily work with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, life stressors and transitions of all kinds. I specialize in working with lesbian, gay, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and gender expansive clients and have focused my training to best care for individuals in these demographics. My practice is kink-affirming, poly-friendly, trauma-informed, and I am constantly looking at more ways to create a safer space for all my clients. My approach is from an anti-colonial, anti-racist, anti-capitalist lens and brings an awareness of systems of oppression that contribute to mental health struggles. I believe that you are the expert of your own life. I see it to be my job to meet you where you are at. Together we will look at what root causes might be contributing to your struggles in our first few sessions and create a plan moving forward.
