As a therapist for children and adolescents, I am dedicated to supporting young people navigate life’s challenges by creating a safe, nurturing, and non-judgmental environment. My treatment process embraces a holistic, whole person approach which considers every aspect of development—emotional, social, cognitive, and physical. I believe that for children and teens to truly thrive, therapy must address all the dimensions of their lives, including their unique strengths, challenges, and the environments that shape them. This ensures that treatment is not only about symptom management but also about fostering long-term well-being and resilience. I adapt the treatment process to meet the specific needs of your child or teen, using a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, collaborative problem-solving, attachment theory, and play-based methods. Somatic techniques, like breathwork and mindfulness, are used to support emotional regulation by helping children connect with their bodies and release stress. I emphasize co-regulation by providing a calming and stable presence to support children as they learn to manage their emotions and develop self-regulation skills. Alongside this, I teach practical coping strategies that empower children to approach challenges with greater confidence and resilience. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic alliance with parents and recognize that they are essential in their child’s healing journey. Together, we will explore strategies to support your child’s progress at home and reinforce the skills learned in therapy. I offer individual therapy, family therapy, and parental guidance sessions, or a mix of all three, based on what will best support your child’s well-being. Finding the right fit for your child and family is essential. I invite you to schedule an initial consultation to discuss how I can best support your needs.
