I am a licensed marriage and family therapy associate in the state of Texas and Wisconsin and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Quincy University as a student athlete, along with my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in couples therapy from Northcentral University. I work in the treatment industry as a Clinical Director of a behavioral healthcare facility. I have held a variety of roles, including being a intensive outpatient counselor, residential treatment counselor, and the family services manager. I believe that addiction is a family disease; therefore, therapy is necessary for the everyone that is apart of the system. My specialty is working with couples who have been impacted by substance abuse and those that have stopped believing in themselves. I believe in addressing whole system focusing on healing the internal conflict that lies within the system. I do this by using several therapeutic approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Structural Family Therapy, Emotional Focused Couples Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I work with my clients on addressing attachment injuries, internal conflict, finding internal balance, and increasing individuals' confidence in themselves. I am a United States Marine Corps veteran, a former collegiate basketball player, and a devoted dog dad. In my free time, I enjoy a variety of sports, being outdoors, and spending time with my family. "Seeing isn't believing. Believing is seeing." - Judy the Elf
