Introduction

Finding a new therapist is hard! Here's a little bit of self-disclosure to help you decide if I'm the right therapist for you: One of my biggest struggles in life has been finding ways to show up authentically. As a Black, non-binary and queer person, finding spaces that validate core aspects of my identity have been challenging. It’s an honor to hold space for individuals who are struggling to find their voice and place in the world. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe space where you to feel accepted, respected, and understood. I enjoy working with individuals from marginalized and underserved communities (BIPOC, LGBTQ+). My practice is intersectional, collaborative, based in a social justice framework, and sex positive. I engage with clients who have a difficult time navigating and understanding the system. Often, we are encouraged to internalize messages from the outside world as ultimate truth. Sometimes it’s difficult to escape our assigned roles. I’m here to help you unpack and determine what works best for you. I understand how difficult it can be to find places that feel secure and affirming, especially as a marginalized individual. Some of our most vulnerable experiences occur in therapy. I am here to provide a non-judgmental place for you to express yourself in a manner that feels safe, natural, and most importantly, authentic to you.
