Introduction

*As of 5/6/2024, I am able to accept clients on a limited basis, daytime slots available only* I have been providing therapy to a wide range of clients since 2013, after graduating from Ball State University. I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana in 2018, and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan in 2021. I have what I call a "kitchen sink" background with experience working with individuals in home/community settings, as well as traditional clinic based counseling, and most recently with telehealth, and a wide range of client needs. I have strong experience in working with clients to reduce or end harmful behaviors, ranging form passive communication and avoidance in relationships to self-injury and aggression. Due to my variety of experiences, I have come to really appreciate the impact of trauma has on the development of all individuals. I have completed basic training (Levels 1 and 2) in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), as well as training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Trauma Focused CBT. These approaches are focused on trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional dyscontrol, unhealthy coping, difficulty in developing healthy relationships. In addition, I am also experienced working with individuals who are neurologically diverse: including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and sensory processing difficulties, and Intellectual Disability. I know that it's difficult asking for help, and it can be confusing finding the right fit. I want you to know, that the biggest predictor of successful therapy is the relationship that you have with your therapist. It's a personal choice, and it's okay to take your time making that choice, just as it is okay to change your mind. It's okay to reach out just to ask a few more questions. It's okay to repeatedly visit a website and then be too anxious to reach out. It's okay to decide you aren't ready. At this time I am able to take private insurance for BCBS, BCN, Aetna, and Priority Health, and Group Marketing Services. I also take direct payments from clients. Thank you so much for your time, Aud
