Introduction

Having experienced a painful and life-altering loss of my own, I have a special place in my heart for grievers. I know about the never-ending, uninvited roller-coaster of emotions grievers experience. I remember some days of not leaving my bed or other days of laughing and smiling just to make others believe I was “okay.” But I wasn’t okay. I was brokenhearted. And like everyone else, I had no idea what to do. That’s when I came across The Grief Recovery Institute®, and the more I learned about the Grief Recovery Program®, the more I felt in my heart that it was exactly what I needed to help me heal. I went through the program myself and decided to pursue a specialization in grief recovery. Through my own healing, I developed a passion to help other grievers.
