Dr. Gifford performs evaluations to assess for Autism Spectrum Disorder in children as young as 12 months old. The evaluations are either conducted in the office or virtually and include observations of the child, administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule - Second Edition (ADOS-2), a diagnostic interview, parent questionnaires, and teacher questionnaires (if applicable). Dr. Gifford has participated in intensive ADOS-2 training with the Emory Autism Center. All complete assessments include an intake session with the parent/guardian, all testing sessions needed, and a feedback session with the parent/guardian to review the results and discuss recommendations. Jessica Fitzgerald is a dedicated psychometrist specializing in the assessment and testing of children, adolescents, and adults for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). With a strong foundation in special education, having earned a Bachelor's degree in Special Education, she brings a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and behavioral development. Her expertise lies in administering and interpreting a range of standardized psychometric tests and assessments to accurately diagnose ASD and ADHD. She has worked extensively with individuals across all age groups, tailoring her approach to each person's unique developmental stage and needs. Passionate about helping others, Jessica works closely with families, educators, and clinicians to ensure comprehensive support and interventions for those in need. Her career is driven by a commitment to providing precise, empathetic, and thorough evaluations, assisting her clients in navigating their path toward better understanding and support. She also has children of her own diagnosed with autism and ADHD. Knowing first-hand the struggles families have with navigating these diagnosis, she has devoted her life to helping children and supporting her families.
