Hello! My name is Ashley; I use she/her pronouns. I identify as a cis-gendered, married, African-American, Neurotypical and abled bodied. As a neurodiversity- affirming therapist, It is important to me to honor your lived experiences and help you address the challenges you may be having in a kind, empathetic and direct way. For the past ten years I have specialized in working with autistic and neurodivergent teens, college students and adults that have struggled with life transitions, executive functioning, chronic stress, anxiety, identity development or actualization, and peer or relational conflict. I often use behavioral and person-centered approaches with clients and it is important for me to collaborate with you to find what tools or approaches work for you.I find joy in watching the light bulb “go off” when clients discover the tools they want and need to achieve success in multiple areas of their lives. Oftentimes we go into therapy thinking there is only one way to address a situation and that is not always the case. Therapy is a journey with a lot of trial and error. I am ready to work together to make sure your “toolkit” is well packed where you feel confident to address the challenges life may bring your way.
