Introduction

Hello! I'm Ashley Peoples, a Marriage and Family Therapist. I enjoy working with various clients, including couples, individuals (12+) and families. My specialization lies in Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), while also utilizing methods rooted in Attachment Theory, IFS and somatic healing. My passion for therapy began at a young age, as I always felt destined to help others. For years, I watched my only brother struggle with an immense addiction, which then led to many encounters with the law. We became familiar with court appearances, NA classes and visits from his many probation officers. In this, I saw not only how this process affected him but our entire family too. From the influence of my beloved brother, I quickly knew I wanted to help others who were enduring the same kind of pain we were. My journey in Psychology began in 2016 at Southeastern University. During my undergraduate studies, I volunteered at a local non-profit, where I served as a residential counselor at an in-patient facility. There, I gained experience working with clients exhibiting symptoms of various mental disorders such as anxiety/depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, as well as addiction. While this opportunity was enriching, it underscored the crucial role loved ones play in a client's recovery, leading me to explore systemic therapy. Subsequently, I pursued my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University. My therapy services hold the potential to profoundly impact the lives of my clients, offering them a journey of self-discovery, healing, and growth. Through my expertise, empathy, and dedication, I provide a safe and supportive space where individuals feel understood, validated, and empowered to explore their inner worlds. My interventions and guidance help clients navigate their challenges, offering them new perspectives, coping strategies, and tools for managing their emotions and behaviors. Whether through cognitive re-framing, skill-building exercises, or experiential techniques, I equip clients with the resources they need to confront obstacles and move forward in their lives. If this sounds like something you're interested in, please reach out! I am happy to offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit. Please note, I am currently NOT taking insurance clients at this time. Why private pay? Although insurance offers great accessibility, paying out of pocket for mental health services allows for enhanced privacy, greater choice and flexibility, higher quality of care, and clear cost transparency. I know it can feel like another added expense, however, this approach empowers you to take control of your mental health journey, ensuring you receive the personalized, confidential, and timely support you deserve. It's time to invest in yourself!
