I'm Ashley, a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate and the owner of Ashley Moore Therapy and Coaching, LLC. In 2015 I graduated from CU-Denver with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I then went on to earn a Master of Science in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2018. After earning this degree, I spent four years working in mental health in varying capacities before completing a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northcentral University in 2022. Since graduating, I have completed additional training and courses - I am EMDR trained, a Board Certified Transgender Care Therapist, and a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist. I am now a Clinical Sexology Ph.D. Candidate with a specialization in kink-conscious therapy. My practice is focused on identity development and personal and relational growth by providing a space for gracious acceptance and authenticity. As a BIPOC provider, my focus is not on pathologizing trauma or life experiences, but rather on facilitating and supporting self-exploration and growth. I provide a supportive space for all my clients through a trauma-informed, culturally relevant, LGBTQ+-affirming, and sex-positive lens. Through my affirming approach, I strive to create a safe space for any client who comes into my office and join alongside you in achieving your goals. The clients that I typically work with come from diverse backgrounds and present with an array of concerns, including but certainly not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, relational dynamics, infidelity, parenting changes, nontraditional family styles, LGBTQ+ identity, kink, polyamory, non-monogamous relationships, marginalized populations, underserved populations, and the list continues. I have extensive experience working with teens, adults, families, and couples. In therapy, using an eclectic approach, I gravitate toward tenants of Collaborative Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), all through a systemic lens. No matter what brings you to therapy, if this is your first or fourth time, I believe growth is always possible, and you can enact change in your life. Life is a continuous journey full of twists and turns – I want to join alongside your journey!
