I see individuals from all walks of life and all ages. Welcome. One of my goals as a therapist is to create a warm and safe space. Creating a therapeutic alliance based on safety and trust is foundational for change and healing. I stand in openness and empathy towards my clients and encourage compassion and honesty as they look within and work at getting to know themselves and grow their capacity to think about their inner life. I take a Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic approach in working with most clients. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington (LH.61365693) and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado (LPC.0018883). I earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in 2011. My postgraduate experience included work as an outpatient therapist with children and families, a therapist at an adult rehabilitation center, a counselor and case manager in multiple residential settings working with patients with severe chronic mental illness, and as a residential aid in a men’s rehabilitation center. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Psychodynamic and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. In 2014, I completed two years of didactic work around infant observation and the fundamentals of psychoanalytic theory through The Center for Object Relations in Seattle. This consisted of weekly observations, presenting clinical material, individual supervision, group consultation, and psychoanalytic coursework. Currently, I am participating in courses through the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center and the Center for Object Relations to grow my understanding around psychoanalytic work.
