Introduction

Passionate about her work, Ashley strives to create a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment to work alongside her clients experiencing various life transitions to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with others and the world, expanding their emotional tolerance and personal coping skills. Ashley will work with you to identify and process troublesome thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that impact your life and, collectively, begin creating lasting change so you can be your true, authentic self and live the life you envision. Ashley has experience providing counseling and support to various populations with a specialization in military-affiliated individuals who need a therapist who understands the unique culture of military life. She has worked with men and women coping with domestic abuse/violence and intimate partner violence (IPV), anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other life struggles. Ashley is dedicated to helping all individuals and couples, including non-traditional relationship dynamics, build a foundation of understanding and resilience. She uses an integrated approach, specifically looking at how a client’s thinking, behaviors, and emotions all interact, through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), along with somatic, mindfulness, and holistic techniques. She sees the client as the true expert in their own life and believes her role as a therapist is a guide to help her clients move towards healing and living a more fulfilling life. Ashley considers the psychotherapeutic relationship to be one of sacred trust and active partnership. The therapeutic relationship is a professional relationship designed to assist and guide individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to make progress toward personal growth and overall well-being.
