Ashley Cooley (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT # 136964) who is currently registered by the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences. She earned her Master of Science in Couple and Family Therapy, with a specialization in Sex Therapy, from Thomas Jefferson University. Ashley has extensive knowledge and clinical experience in the assessment and diagnosis of eating disorders at all ages. She has experience working in a variety of eating disorder settings and levels-of-care, including residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient and outpatient. She is trained in evidence-based practice modalities. Her clinical methodology is utilizing systemic therapy, emotion focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Ashley’s speciality in sex therapy and eating disorders offers unique clinical expertise around anxiety, depression, sex-related issues, trauma, boundaires, communicaiton, body image, gender identity, LBGTQ+, and self-esteem. Ashley’s style is tailored to each patient but emphasizes working from a trauma-informed and humanistic approach. Her goal as a therapist is to encourage patients to use their own unique strengths and resources to help develop the skills to accomplish their goals.
