Please contact me via the phone number or email listed at the top of the website for a free 15 minute consultation to determine if I would be a good fit for your needs. You may be looking for a psychologist because you are experiencing distressing emotions or overwhelming stress. You may feel less confident, creative, or connected. Your body or physical health may be pushing you to address your well-being from a different angle. Or maybe a more spiritual or soulful part of you is tugging at your heart strings. Ultimately, you want to experience some change or growth in yourself and your life. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, life transitions, and relationship issues. I integrate my training in various approaches to meet the needs of each individual client. I also incorporate a comprehensive assessment of mental and physical health concerns of each individual to ensure our treatment goals address all aspects of your well-being. I am an active yoga practitioner, and have completed the Foundational Training in Trauma Center Trauma-Sensitive Yoga (TC-TSY) which highly informs my clinical philosophy and therapeutic approach. The body like the mind is integral to our well-being, so if clients are interested, I integrate embodiment practices into our therapy work. My aim as a psychologist is to reduce your suffering and moreover to help enable your well-being. My approach is grounded in a scientific and compassionate understanding of the challenges of modern human living (i.e., isolation, self-doubt, overthinking, distraction, chronic stress). The science of change and well-being clearly demonstrate that we must not only understand what is important to us but that we must also engage in our lives and take care of our bodies. My aim is to help you find your core intentions and help clear your path towards pursuing a meaningful life outside of the therapy room. I received my PhD from Columbia University where I also conducted research and taught courses on nonverbal communication, emotion regulation, bereavement and culture. I work to create effective, evidenced-based treatment plans with you and focus largely on present concerns to better enable you to recognize and actualize your capabilities and goals. My clients describe me as warm, direct, and insightful.
