My career has focused on helping individuals and families since 2000 working for the Boys & Girls Clubs giving me the opportunity to work with families all walks of life. In 2007, I transitioned to helping individuals, children, and families in the Central Texas area as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. I have been fully licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2011, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor since 2022, and Registered Play Therapy Supervisor since 2023. My heart has been to help others. I have been assisting children from young to old along with their families. I am AutPlay Certified and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) and utilize elements of play in therapy with children to adults. I believe that play is a very powerful form of communication especially when you don’t seem to have the words to identify what is going on. Sandtray therapy is a form of play therapy and can be applied to teens, adults, groups, couples, and families. For members of the armed services, I also have 8 years of experience working with soldiers and their families. I have worked with the children, spouses and soldiers to aid in the different phases of the military life that they are experiencing. I am a member of the American Counseling Association, Texas Counselors Association, Association for Play Therapists, and President of the Central Texas Chapter for Play Therapy
