Dr. Lloyd has worked and trained in the field of behavioral health since 2001. In 2004, she graduated from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS with her Bachelors in Psychology. In 2010, Dr. Lloyd received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Jackson State University. While there, she was awarded several honors including a four-year research fellowship and membership in Alpha Epsilon Lambda Graduate Honor Society. Dr. Lloyd completed her predoctoral residency at Louisiana State University Health Sciences in New Orleans, LA, and her postdoctoral residency was completed at Brandon P. Romano Psy.D. & Associates. Currently, Dr. Lloyd is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Louisiana and Texas. Her clinical experience includes individual, group, and family therapy, comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational evaluations, adult and adolescent psychosexual evaluations, pre-trial intervention evaluations, relapse prevention treatment, pre-surgical/bariatric assessments, geriatric evaluations/screenings, pain management, parent training, and behavior modification. Dr. Lloyd has conducted juvenile forensic risk assessments, and served as an expert witness in juvenile court. She has also conducted specialized groups including truancy, anger management, and parent-child relations groups. Dr. Lloyd has provided specialized clinical services to adolescent females who were survivors of human trafficking, and she completed Advance Training in Youth Post-Traumatic Stress (YPT). Dr. Lloyd has also served on staff at Xavier University as their Clinical Psychologist. In addition to providing traditional psychological services, Dr. Lloyd provides Christian Therapy that emphasizes the psychological and spiritual aspects of emotional and behavioral wellness. She became a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor (BCPCC) in July 2018. Dr. Lloyd has also received specialty certifications as a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), and is a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH).
