As a tenured mental health counseling professor at Seattle University, I have over a decade of experience in clinical practice and training new counselors. I work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, or those that just need someone safe to talk with about everything they’re experiencing. I bring over fifteen years of experience to supporting my clients in reaching their goals for therapy. I offer a number of specialized practices, including ‘walk and talk therapy’, sports counseling, and hypnotherapy. My published research has shown that walking during therapy enhances for most clients’ their ability to think creatively, process thoughts and feelings more deeply, and feel more holistically connected to their bodies. Anxiety, stress, depression—all of these are widely being experienced as a consequence of Covid-19 and its impact on society. People’s lives have been turned upside down, with the familiarity of old routines shattered and relationships strained. In this time of tumultuous change and confusion, there is opportunity to remake yourself and your life.
