Introduction

Deciding to go to therapy sometimes takes a long time because we may minimize our suffering and delay finding someone who can help. Whether you are feeling stuck, trying to resolve a specific problem, make a relationship work, or manage stress, illness or trauma, no issue is too small or too big. I work collaboratively with all my clients to develop a safe and authentic relationship to address their goals. I help my clients to understand the history and impact of their relationships and critical life events that have created suffering or difficulty, and develop skills and strategies that lead to growth and long lasting healing. My goal is to help all my clients feel more connected to themselves and others, experience more joy in their everyday life and feel confident to overcome all the challenges that life presents. I work with people from all walks of life and have a particular interest in infertility, imposter syndrome and the consequences of "overwork." My areas of expertise are stress management, self-care, depression, anxiety, life and career transitions, eating issues, managing cancer diagnosis, treatment and recovery, racial, gender and sexual identity, as well as Multicultural Therapy. I have also taught about these subjects as a Professor at San Diego State University and Instructor at Harvard Medical School.
