April McCarthy received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from William James College. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a member of the American Counseling Association. In her time as a mental health counselor, April has worked with youth, families, and adults in outpatient, community home-based, school, and residential settings. Her clinical practice is grounded in using a diverse variety of techniques that foster a supportive environment where people can be their true selves and find their internal resiliency. April’s clinical knowledge includes working with those who have experienced anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral challenges, difficult transitions, stress, and trauma. April has specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and she supports a variety of clients who experience challenges spanning the perinatal continuum. In her free time, April loves to read, craft, volunteer, and spend time with her family.
