April began as a parent educator for a non-profit until she turned to nutrition, studying traditional nutrition based on the principals of an ancestral diet. In helping people be their best selves nutritionally, she noticed there was a missing link between wanting to be healthy and being able to execute that desire. She went back to study counseling and fell back into the early childhood scene, realizing that she could mesh all of her passions together into a counseling practice. Health is obtained through many avenues and she enjoys helping families and caregivers on this journey. She has studied Synergetic Play Therapy and Family Constellations and incorporates aspects of these practices into her work. She also works in childcare settings as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant and incorporates aspects of Conscious Discipline into that work. She enjoys working with caregivers to help them understand their children and how they can improve their relationships and very much enjoys working with children in all of their expressive diversity.
