Dr. Anya Scolaro, Psy.D., LCSW, BCN is a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in a wide variety of presenting issues such as anxiety, OCD, depression, ADHD, relationship / family dynamics, phobias, transitioning and substance use. Anya has advanced training in a variety of evidence-based methods like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, psychodynamic therapy and trauma-informed care. Her style is a supportive and compassionate approach that adopts a hands-on style both within and in-between session. She received a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from LIU Post University, as well as a Master of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and Master of Clinical Psychology from City College of New York. Anya’s previous roles include Director of DBT at Behavioral Associates, where she trained and supervised all individual and group DBT services, and Co-Director of the PRIDE Healing Center at LIU Post University, which serves the LGBTQ community. Her other experiences include roles at Mount Sinai, Gracie Square, Lincoln and Bronx Lebanon Hospitals.
