Anushka received his Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marquette University. Anushka has worked with adolescents, adults, families and couples in multitude of settings. Anushka has worked in crisis management as a mental health counselor intern with a wide range of clientele from the greater Milwaukee area. Before transitioning into mental health counseling Anushka has worked in hospital environments with individuals and families as a hospital Chaplain. Anushka’s demeanor is relaxed and non-judgmental, and his benevolent nature and welcoming attitude helps individuals and couples to process their mental health stressors, including unspoken trauma, loneliness, depression, marital issues, and grief. Anushka takes an integrative approach in his counseling practice by incorporating mindfulness practices, solution-focused short-term therapy, psychotherapy, spirituality and cognitive therapy in order to serve the specific needs of the client. Resilience is one of the key strengths that most often we forget when we face hardships, says Anushka. Working in Crisis management, Anushka is marveled by the resilience he has witnessed in those who have experienced trauma. As a counselor, Anushka takes a strength-based approach to empower individuals. Anushka’s mission is to help the clients discover their own strengths, explore the solutions that are hidden within them, and to be a companion in their life journeys.
