Anthony Reda

Tony was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and relocated to Arizona in 2023 to join Christian Counseling Services of Arizona. Tony graduated from Colorado Christian University with honors in 2023. He is an Associate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona (LAMFT-10982). He is a devoted husband of 30 years and a proud father of two amazing sons now aged 27 and 25. Tony utilizes various theoretical frameworks to support his clients, including individuals, couples, families, and youth from a systemic and trauma-informed approach. He believes that evidenced-based practices will reduce symptoms, promote self-acceptance, foster unconditional positive regard, and increase positive changes in individuals and families who may struggle in life. Tony will conduct a biopsychosocial assessment which will inform the therapeutic relationship and guides the work thus revealing the greatest opportunities for holistic healing. His passion is rooted in family systems work, dialectical therapy, cognitive and behavior therapies, and emotionally focused work. Tony utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) focused on addressing the root causes of trauma, painful or fearful memories, anxiety, and depression, and promoting long-term change. Tony operates from a Christian worldview and therefore encourages incorporating spirituality/religion into his practice but remains open to other beliefs, and diverse backgrounds. He honors all cultures meeting clients wherever they are in their respective journeys. Tony offers in-person and virtual appointments and works out of the Surprise, Glendale, and Goodyear offices. He is under the direct supervision of Elijah Steinbrecher, LMFT, who is an approved Clinical Supervisor through the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners.
