ANTHONY MAZZELLA

I have been working with people in therapy and counseling for the past 40 years plus. I have worked this way first in my capacity as a pastor. You get to learn much about people by observing them in their interactions with each other in the social environment. Church has been a fantastic learning ground for learning. This is what distinguishes me from many other therapists, because I have observed people and learned my clinical skills not just by a short-contained session once a week. My experience has been broad and with many cultures over time. I love crafting out a treatment plan with each person to help them understand their lives in their own context. We will look at the ingredients that went into making you the person you are today, positive and negative. We will begin a journey together that will help you take inventory of yourself and begin to craft what you want out of life as you move forward. You will not be alone. I will be there to help you. I want to say, that we will use every approach at our disposal. Also, I am very comfortable talking about religion and spiritual matters. I do not impose my religious beliefs on anyone. I am just as comfortable talking to those who don’t belief in any kind of religion. Atheists are welcome. I have a bachelor’s degree and two Masters’ degrees. I have worked inpatient, outpatient and with groups in many kinds of settings, hospitals, clinics, churches and schools.
