Introduction

I'm a licensed mental health counselor with 20 years of experience. I have a gentle approach that recognizes each person's unique strengths and gifts in addition to the issues that brought them to therapy. I see my role as a collaborative partner and guide, and I believe that everyone has the potential to make positive changes in their lives. I help my clients connect with and heal the deeper issues underlying their troubling symptoms, working at a pace that feels safe and supportive. I am also a trauma-informed Reiki Master Teacher. Although Reiki is not a substitute for psychotherapy, the two modalities work well together. Reiki provides deep support for psychotherapy at the energetic and spiritual levels by gently softening the emotional and psychological blocks that can cause people to feel stuck. Reiki also provides a way to process the strong emotions and insights that can come up in therapy.
