Life is a remarkable journey. As we walk down its path, we may enjoy many positive experiences. However, life is often challenging. It can leave one feeling out of balance, utterly drained and anxious, traumatized or depressed. Feelings like these may become so burdensome that getting out of bed and starting the day may feel like climbing Mount Everest, and trying to honor all of one’s obligations may feel increasingly overwhelming and difficult to achieve. As a clinical psychologist and psychiatric nurse practitioner, I’m here to help you find that balance again. I work with individuals aged 18 and older with concerns that include anxiety disorders, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, ADHD and PTSD. I’m particularly familiar with helping college students and am dedicated to working with women in midlife. As a clinical psychologist licensed in Pennsylvania, and psychiatric nurse practitioner licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Florida, I have a breadth of knowledge about achieving mental health through methods such as psychological assessment and various types of treatment, including medications. My approach to working with individuals is grounded in empathetic listening: I seek to learn not only what ails you, but what strengths and resources you possess. Importantly, I want to ensure that you feel respected, safe, validated, and empowered during our work together. By identifying your unique needs, I will work with you to build a comprehensive treatment plan that blends medication management with various non-pharmacologic interventions (e.g., relaxation training, solution-focused techniques), and together, we will set realistic treatment goals. Ultimately, my commitment is to help you live a healthier life where growth is not only possible, but flourishes. Your best self awaits; I’m ready to help you get there.
