Introduction

Hi! My name is Anna Michelle Barrette and I am 34-years-old. Professionally, I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist. You might also say I am someone who strives to foster change in people's lives and relationships. In 2010, I received my BA in Psychology from California State University Channel Islands. I graduated Magna Cum Laude with an MA in Psychology from California Southern University in 2015. This, alongside years of working with children, teens, adults, couples and the elderly are only a part of what makes me the therapist I am today. This line of work is authentic to who I have always been. I have always felt a calling to listen. To make tangible change. To heal from within. A desire to ensure someone leaves me feeling supported and encouraged. I believe the makings of a good therapist go beyond just comprehending and applying what we have been taught. There is an inherent nature from deep within to be effective. That as well as continuously learning and educating yourself in more recent research in order to deliver the most reliable and effective therapy treatment available.Hi!
