I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) practicing in Birmingham, AL. I consider it an honor to be a container for people to look at parts of life and parts of themselves that feel messy, hard, and too painful to face alone. It is my goal that each person I have the privilege of sitting with experiences the sense that they and their stories matter. I work with people of all ages, starting at 3 years old through the lifespan. I have a specific clinical interest in providing care for children who have experienced trauma and attachment ruptures through foster care and adoption. I earned my M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Montevallo and my B.A. in Communication and minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Auburn University. Along with this, I have completed advanced trainings in play therapy, Theraplay Level 1, Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Gottman Level 1 Certification, and TraumaPlay. Life was intended to be experienced in connection, with self and with others. Counseling can provide a way of reconnecting and rediscovering parts of yourself that have been hurt and lost along the way. It is a high privilege to help you find healing and connection with YOU again.
