Introduction

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida with over 12 years of experience in providing clients with support and guidance to navigate their way through life challenges. I have served many individuals in various clinical settings, inclusive of vulnerable populations in the criminal justice system, family therapy, substance abuse clients and in community mental health. I enjoy working with individuals and families, helping them to navigate the challenges of life, whether they are personal, with family, or with peers. I strongly believe in a relational, strengths-based approach to therapy and as a result I work from a collaborative, strengths-based approach; assisting and supporting clients to be self-directive of their own lives as I assist and guide them in the right direction. My areas of psychotherapeutic expertise are in the anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors, relationship challenges, and self-esteem among other mental health issues. The modalities I use in treatment are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, family therapy and mindfulness-based interventions. I earnestly implement the most appropriate and effective modalities to personalize each clients’ therapeutic needs. I strive to provide a comfortable environment, encouragement, empowerment, support, and active/reflective listening in effort to equip clients with the tools needed to manage current and future difficulties to foster their ability in finding a healthy path for their life journey. In every talk-therapy session I provide a safe space that supports a non-judgmental environment to provide clients the opportunity to share their concerns, explore their emotions and identify solutions to life challenges and obstacles.
