Introduction

Limina means thresholds, the places between one thing and the next. Pregnancy, birth, postpartum, parenting, loss, infertility, and coparenting are parts of life in which deep transformation occurs for individuals, partners, and family systems. Our generational stories, trauma histories, social and cultural experiences, and personal goals all inform how we find ourselves in these threshold moments. While these experiences can feel temporary, their impact transforms us at the core. Indeed, all of life is full of seasons of change that find us in these liminal spaces. Whatever threshold you find yourself in, there is time and space for you to pause and fortify before stepping forward on your path. It's an honor to share that space with you. I became a parent just before the COVID-19 pandemic began. Beginning my parenting journey in this way changed everything about my understanding of motherhood, community, and mental health, and it solidified my commitment to being a part of the rich network of providers working to support birthing persons, their partners, and their families. I am originally from Chicago, where I obtained my MSW from Loyola University Chicago in 2012. I have over 10 years of experience providing case management and clinical services to children, individuals, and families. I have completed training and national rostering in Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and am certified in the clinical treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. My approach is psychodynamic, attachment-based, and trauma-informed, and I utilize elements of CBT, ACT, DBT, and interpersonal modalities. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation for new clients prior to scheduling to answer questions, discuss my treatment approach/style, and determine if we're a fit. I look forward to meeting you, and I'm glad you're here.
