In our chaotic and unjust world, many of us live on high alert, struggling with rage, fear, and hopelessness. Exposure to chronic stress and trauma disconnects us from our bodies, our true selves, and each other. As a clinical psychologist and a mindfulness meditation practitioner, I use a mindfulness-based, compassion-focused, somatic approach to help clients tune in to their inner wisdom, reduce the impacts of chronic stress, and build bold and authentic lives, right where they are. I work from a model (Internal Family Systems) that says we have lots of different parts of us inside of us. These different parts are often in conflict. One part might want to take more risks, while another part might want to stay safe. One part might want to heal and grow, while other parts keep you maintaining the status quo. Often people have parts of themselves they have locked away completely – parts they are ashamed of or that remind them of bad memories. I help clients bring mindful, loving, and compassionate awareness to all their parts. By bringing their parts into harmony, clients are able to get unstuck and build the meaningful and value-based lives that they want. I bring an anti-oppressive and anti-racist lens to my work, so I am a good fit for people that do not resonate with mainstream mental health approaches. I specialize in working with: Anxiety and burnout Overthinkers Perfectionists People pleasers People of color Children of immigrants
