Introduction

I am Anita Ofori and I am a licensed professional counselor and trauma-informed therapist with six years of experience. I earned my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Toledo. I specialize in working with adults facing challenges such as: Anxiety Depression Trauma Relationship Issues Stressors related to Work, School, and Social Life. A bit about my approach to therapy In therapy, I create a warm and supportive environment where you can truly be yourself. I use various therapy techniques that have been proven to be effective in helping people. Together, we can work through past problems and find ways to overcome them. We will focus on discovering what may be holding you back and developing healthy ways to cope with challenges. By working together, we can help you grow and move towards a more positive future. Show more What you can expect from our first session As clients begin their journey towards healing, my goal is to help them understand more about themselves and appreciate who they are. Remember, it's okay to make mistakes during our sessions – in fact, making mistakes is a great way to learn and grow. So, they should not worry about being perfect, just focus on being open to the process and embracing your unique self. Their progress is more important than perfection, so we will discover together how you can thrive and heal. I use Simple Practice for all out-of-pocket payments. When it comes to insurance, I only use Headway for billing purposes.
