Angie Byrd is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor who has achieved a Certification in Trauma Therapy and is the owner of Full Hearts Counseling. Angie has more than 18 years of experience as a therapist. She has a strong passion for engaging with people who are working to gain control over their situations to emerge more successful. She models and teaches nonviolent communication techniques combined with vulnerability, empathy, and compassion to help her client build positive relationships. Through her experience she was able to work with many different adult, children, and family situations. This includes helping people find healing and adjusting to loved ones suffering through severe and persistent mental illness, post-traumatic stress disorder, developmental trauma, abuse, neglect, and addictions. Angie is dedicated to educating herself with trauma of all types and continues to learn a variety of modes of treatment to help people going through trauma. In addition, she provides supervision for young clinicians in hopes to spark a passion for trauma counseling.
