Aneece Alicea has nearly 20 years of experience in the mental health field. She strives to set an atmosphere of compassion, understanding, growth, and empowerment. Aneece sees people as much more than their challenges and setbacks and understands people as having a purpose and immeasurable value. She supports clients in addressing the past, their family of origins and patterns, communication and relationship issues, faulty thinking patterns, and unhelpful choices and behaviors to help clients achieve their therapy goals. Aneece addresses a variety of concerns such as grief and loss, miscarriage, women's issues, trauma, relationship and marriage issues, and parenting. She also treats a variety of disorders such as ADD/ADHD, anxiety disorders and phobias, mood disorders such as Major Depressive Disorder, eating disorders and other disorganized eating, and more. Aneece is also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. She treats a variety of anxiety disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorders, Phobias, OCD, and Panic Disorder. With a speciality of incorporating Christian spirituality, Aneece believes in the power of merging faith and psychology. Using their faith in all aspects of life is a foundation for many people of the Christian faith. Although this is one approach that Aneece utilizes, when appropriate, it is not a requirement for therapy. Aneece remains sensitive to her clients' beliefs and offers a positive therapeutic experience for a variety of religions and worldviews.
