Andrew Belcher (he/him) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over a decade of clinical experience working with school aged kids, parenting families, couples, and individuals to navigate the stress, anxiety, and depression related to big life moments (adolescence, parenting, work, etc.) He specializes in school issues, family planning, infertility, complex pregnancy for birthing and non-birthing parents, and supporting families with children with medical complexity. His practice focuses on the curious exploration of the mind and body through talk and trance therapy, yoga, and meditation. Andrew believes that exploring the body through the breath calms the mind and creates a distance from which we can see more clearly. This clarity allows for a deeper understanding about how we are, how we want to be, and how we will get there. Andrew is an E-RYT 500, and studied yoga and meditation with Kripalu, Yogaworks, and Shambhala Meditation Center. Andrew has worked in schools, hospitals, and mental health clinics in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York including Women and Infants Hospital, Community Care Alliance, The Jewish Board, Maimonides Medical Center, Berkshire Theater Group, and ENACT. In addition to his private practice, he also provides group therapy and individual counseling through Thrive Behavioral Health. He graduated from Tulane University with a BA in English and Spanish and completed his clinical social work MSW at Hunter College. Se habla español. Andrew is now offering in-person and HIPPA compliant Telehealth sessions, workshops, and consulting.
