With a focus on relationship, with oneself and to others, I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families grow in their ability to connect and navigate difficulty, however big or small it may feel. Together we will work to increase awareness of the patterns of relating, including relational dynamics, that are perpetuating a feeling of being stuck, or finding oneself in the same kind of situation or relationship over and over again. We will work towards developing effective ways to understand and respond to the difficulty and conflict we all experience in life, as well trauma that many of us carry. I am passionate about understanding each client in their context, believing that each of us has a story that has formed who we are today, and that every person has dignity. My clients often express feeling a sense of freedom and relief from their work with me. My style is warm, inviting, honest, direct, and open. I received a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from The University of Virginia and a Master of Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia, a member of Psy Chi, the National Honor Society for Psychology, and I am certified by NASW and The Virginia Board of Social Work to provide supervision for MSWs seeking licensure in Virginia. I am a mother of three, plus one dog. I am adventurous and especially love being outside, whether I'm gardening, swimming, riding a bike, or playing pickleball with friends and family.
