Hello and welcome! My name is Andrea Hohmann, LISW and I would love to help you discover and embrace your inherent dignity and worth as a person! I am a licensed Independent Social Worker and have been doing therapy for the last several years and have nearly 10 years working in social services. I received my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. I utilize a variety of modalities and embrace a very eclectic style to fit the needs of each unique individual I work with. I work with people ages 14 and older, but especially enjoy working with women going through life transitions (such as college, career, marriage and starting a family). I was trained in Integrated Somatic Regulation, a type of trauma processing, by Dr. Matthew Vasquez in my time at the University of Northern Iowa and utilize that with clients, when appropriate, to help them heal from their emotionally painful experiences and feel safe in their bodies and reduce the impact trauma leaves on one's life. I help stressed people who are juggling their busy life (college, career, parenthood - you name it).
