I am a Clinical Social Worker, licensed in New York State and Louisiana. I earned my bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology at Florida International University, where I also minored in studio art. I earned my Master of Social Work degree at Hunter College, and I have been practicing in New York City for ten years. My lived experience as a bicultural Black woman and teen mom is what drew me to social work, and eventually clinical practice. I have a visceral understanding of the desire to overcome adversity, live authentically, and thrive. That understanding enhances my ability to connect with my clients’ humanity and empathize deeply. I am dedicated to the service of all people, with a special interest in supporting the healing and empowerment of Black and Brown women whose lives are burdened by anxious distress. Using a collaborative approach, I can support you with changing anxiety-inducing and self-defeating patterns of thought and behavior so that you can harness the strengths already within you. I utilize a multicultural framework, and I am committed to providing an identity-affirming and safe emotional context to engage the therapeutic process.
