Introduction

At Anchor Life Clinic, we learn how to focus in ways that open our body up to experiencing freedom, creativity, and spaciousness. During the process of anchoring, we accomplish 4 intentions: 1) Slowing down repetitive thoughts, 2) Weakening the power of repetition, 3) Bringing attention to the present, and 4) Changing our focus to creative functioning. Anchoring creates a purpose that cultivates awareness of change. Melanie is a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, Accredited Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), as well as an LGBTQIA+ expert. She works with adults and children as a Certified Attention Deficit Consultant. She is a member of the Secular Therapy Project as well as the Attention Deficit Disorder Association. She is a certified couples' therapist and Neuro Linguistic Programming Practitioner. She is also certified in Acceptance and Commitment therapy and Neuropsychotherapy. Walter has worked in the field for over 10 years. He is retired from the Navy after serving our country for over 20 years. He is certified in AMSR (Assessing and Managing Suicide Risk), as well as a 12 Step Facilitator Outpatient Program Certified Instructor (NA/NA) and also Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT). His motto is the call of duty with assisting clients with becoming a better version of themselves not of ourselves. Detoshia specializes in counseling individuals who suffer with mental illness, substance abuse, and family crisis. She believes life can be great with affective therapy. She can help you snatch back what life has taken, and turn those life losses into life lessons . Stacy specializes in Dual Diagnosis and Trauma therapy (TF-CBT) and MAT for individual adults. Her emphasis in on Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She is also a veteran of the US Navy. Her goal is to empower you to learn, grow, and heal from your experiences. Brad's specialty is working with at-risk youth, though he has also worked with clients of all ages. He offers a highly integrated pragmatic approach to therapy that is always individualized to meet the needs of the patient, as well as their respective environment. Deschion is a marriage and family counselor. She enjoys working in a therapeutic relationship to help clients get to their breakthrough. Her specialties include depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder; grief, blended families, trauma; adolescent therapy, and addiction/substance abuse. She utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy (SFT), dialectal behavior therapy (DBT), and The Gottman Method.
