As we become whole, our capacity for tolerance increases, and we are able to manage difficulties in a more positive manner. My role as a therapist is that of a companion during the time we will spend together. Through a warm, accepting, curious and slow pace, you will be able to explore what brought you to counseling. I integrate humor and playfulness not only with children but also with adults. I like to promote growth through different mediums such as art, play, music, and movement. I also explore healthier lifestyles and life choices through caring for our mind, heart and body. I bring a combination of life experiences and education. I see the client as the expert in their lives. Above all, I offer a relational, non-directive, nurturing, non-judgmental and playful presence. My graduate degree in Health Psychology helped me understand the psychological factors involved in behavior and physical health and illness. In addition, I have specialized training in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Play Therapy and Sandtray Therapy. I enjoy working with children, teenagers, and adults. My work experience has prepared me to work with a wide range of issues including but not limited to shock and developmental trauma, parenting issues, domestic violence and sexual abuse and career exploration.
