Check out my website at: amyurbaneklpc.com for more about me! In counseling, I create a supportive and safe environment in which you can move from feeling stuck or confused in some area of life to feeling more confident and better connected to others. Our therapy sessions will be tailored to your needs and are where you can talk openly with someone who’s open, accepting, and without judgment. My main therapy approach is using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or CBT. CBT is not based only on what people think can work, but what has been shown to work. I received my Masters degree in Counseling & Psychology at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in 2009 and I have been licensed since 2011. Challenging times can be scary and overwhelming, but they can also present an opportunity for growth and positive change. In my practice, I work collaboratively with clients to help identify and solve problems that get in the way of achieving their goals in life. When you’ve been stuck, stressed, or in pain for a long time, a better life may seem far away. Working with me in counseling can help you feel hopeful and empowered again.
