As a queer, first-generation Mexican-American therapist, my foundation is deeply rooted in empathy and solidarity. It is my commitment to have you be seen, heard, and understood. I will be a fierce advocate for you to see yourself as the person you are - resilient and capable. We often have limiting beliefs that hinder our ability to truly see ourselves. You deserve to have a grounded space to explore generational trauma, navigate intersecting identities, and embrace healing practices to live your truest life. My clients are often the first in their families to have the courage to disrupt limiting beliefs and expectations. They may be experiencing guilt or shame for their alternative perspectives or behaviors. They may feel misunderstood or alone. I wholeheartedly believe that you can continue to respect your family and culture, while still being true to yourself. I stand by the values that therapy should always be affirming, safe, anti-racist, and transparent. It hurts and infuriates me that individuals have not had safe and productive experiences in therapy. I am committed to providing reparative and restorative experiences to those who have been affected and seek to provide a truly transformational experience for first-time therapy goers. We are in this together. When not in session, I am exploring coffee shops, immersing myself in a good book, and moving my body through yoga and hiking. My two cats, Finnegan and Chaos, will also make an appearance in our sessions - hope you don't mind!
