Introduction

I have been a Domestic Violence certified counselor for the past 5+ years and been involved in the DV world for the previous 5+ years to that. Clients who work with me appreciate my lived experience as a partner, parent and co-parent. That coupled with professional education has given me a deep insight and knowledge and ability to articulate the intricacies and pervasiveness that one may experience with domestic violence/trauma/abuse/PTSD/narcissistic abuse. This range covers growing up with abuse, living with an abusive partner/abusive parent, leaving an abusive situation, going through the court systems with or without a kiddo(s), custody evaluations, and rebuilding life through it all and/or when it slows down. As a domestic violence and trauma certified counselor, I offer authentic, realistic and empowering tools to move through these experiences and move forward beginning to thrive again. I use an eclectic approach with somatic experiencing, DBT, EMDR, solution focused and psycho education. I currently use Telehealth or my office downtown SLC.
